Mogo

Born in the gold rush, the charming village of Mogo now receives throngs of visitors, all keen to sample its special atmosphere and browse its wide variety of galleries, arts, crafts and specialty stores.

There are unusual plants, jewellery, homewares, furniture and great pottery - and the artworks are astounding.

Enjoy coffee and cake or gourmet pastries - or a delicious lunch at one of Mogo’s cafes. If there’s still room indulge on ice-cream or fudge...or both!

Need to walk off lunch? Embark on one of six walking tracks winding around the natural features of the botanic gardens (located just a few kilometres north of Mogo).

The gardens focus on plants native to the NSW south coast and adjacent ranges and attract a myriad of birdlife. Other features include a cafe, nursery and picnic area.
Just behind Mogo village, you can journey back through time at the re-creation of a nineteenth century gold rush village.

Want to see the only White Lions in Australia? They’re just around the corner from Mogo village at the zoo. You’ll also get to eyeball big cats, marvel at the playful primates and a whole range of rare and exotic species.
