It's easy to see why Eurobodalla is known as the 'land of many waters' with 130 kilometres of coastline, 83 beaches, 4 major river systems and nearly 20 lakes.
We could bore you with more statistics on the number of creeks and inlets but we think you get the gist. What you want to know is how it will feel when you’ve found that perfect part of our coast where you can be at one with the waterway...and quite possibly the only one on the waterway. With calm blue water beneath you, a soft breeze, a fishing line cast casually over the side. What could be better than this? With so many waterways, you’ll find boat ramps, wharves and jetties in almost every coastal village and town. So bring your beloved vessel or hire one. There are plenty of options when it comes to boat hire outlets and they are conveniently located at the water’s edge throughout the region. However you want to take to the water, it’s here from dinghies to tinnies, canoes, houseboats and even BBQ pontoon boats. Navigate the Clyde River from Batemans Bay to Nelligen and follow the route of the steamships that once traded along the coast, winding through magnificent Clyde River National Park. Or maybe a sail around Batemans Bay’s picturesque Tollgate Islands is more your thing. Day time and twilight sailing charters are now available. Join a guided cruise or charter where you’ll discover just how good you feel taking time out and experiencing what we think are some of the most scenic waterways in Australia. Cruise the azure coloured waterway of Wagonga Inlet at Narooma – you won’t want to leave. Other major waterways include Tomaga River, Moruya River and the Tuross River then there’s Lakes galore from Durras, Coila, Tuross and Corunna plus many more. Our waterways and wetlands attract an abundance of amazing birdlife, animals and plant life which will make your experience in the land of many waters even more memorable.
